With Modernism Week just around the corner, tickets are selling out quickly for some of Palm Springs’ hottest architecture and design events. Fortunately for those still hoping to snag a spot at one of the coveted home tours, additional tickets have just become available for daytime tours of Albert Frey’s famous mountainside perch. Widely praised as a landmark example of desert modernism, the Frey House II tour invites modernist fans to experience a rare walkthrough of this iconic structure.
Celebrated architect Albert Frey spent years measuring the movement of the sun and the contours of the rocks before he selected the site for his second (and final) home. The 800 square foot residence stands on the face of the San Jacinto mountains, nestled among massive boulders that became incorporated into the final design. Organic elements are harmoniously integrated into the modern framework, resulting in a unique space that seems to “disappear” into its surrounding environment.
Tickets will be going fast, so be sure to register soon! No additional tickets will be available for these tours. In other words, this is your LAST CHANCE.
